Samaritan Inn
Hi all,
The Catholic Community has set up a spring volunteer date for Samaritan Inn! We'll be going three times this semester and doing dinner prep, serving, and spending the night. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are still interested in doing this; and if you know of others who would like to participate in this ministry, tell them to shoot me an email as well!
We will be arranging two more dates for the spring semester-- one in late February and another in late March. I will let you know as soon as those are finalized.
God Bless, good luck with the rest of your exams (if you're not done already!), travel safely, and have a very Merry Christmas!
Peace,
Rachel
Samaritan Inn: A group of volunteers will be going to the Samaritan Inn homeless shelter on January 28-29. We will be leaving campus at 6 pm on the 28th (Thursday), and will return to campus by 7 am Friday. We will prepare and serve dinner and breakfast and spend shifts watching the security cameras during the night. Additional volunteer dates will be scheduled for February and March.

Samaritan Inn is, it is a homeless shelter for men in Winston Salem. The group that goes to volunteer helps prepare dinner for the men and then the volunteers spend the night at the shelter (in a separate area from the men at the shelter) and take a two hour shift watching the security cameras/doing homework during the night. In the morning we cook breakfast for the men before they head off to work and we are usually back on campus by 7:30 am This is a great experience and the men really appreciate our help. If this is something you are interested in, or if you have any questions, please let Rachel know. Click here to email her.
